Digital Certification System (Vocational training and food security for refugees and host communities in Eastern Sudan) - 2020
The "Digital Certification System (Vocational training and food security for refugees and host communities in Eastern Sudan) - 2020" project was a vital endeavor aimed at empowering young women and men in Eastern Sudan with employable skills. The primary objective was to facilitate their entry into the labor market and engagement in productive activities, thereby contributing to vocational training and food security. Notably, Sudan hosts 18 vocational centers, and the majority of vocational training activities are concentrated within Vocational Training Centers (VTCs).
Project Accomplishments:
Throughout the course of this project, we achieved significant milestones, each contributing to the successful realization of the digital certification system:
• Stakeholder Engagement: We initiated a crucial phase by conducting meetings with stakeholders and establishing open communication channels. This step allowed us to gain a profound understanding of the project's requirements and align our efforts with the expectations of various stakeholders.
• Certificate Assessment: A comprehensive evaluation of existing certificates was undertaken to identify weaknesses and areas requiring enhancement. This assessment was fundamental in laying the foundation for improved and secure certificates.
• Custom Software Development: To streamline operations and connect different branches and states, we embarked on the design and development of custom software from the ground up. This bespoke software served as the backbone of the digital certification system.
• Certificate Redesign: As part of our commitment to enhancing the project's visual identity and security, we undertook the task of redesigning the certificates. Each certificate category received a unique and distinct design, enhancing their prestige.
• Certificate Security: Security was paramount, and we employed advanced security measures to protect the certificates against fraudulent activities. Watermarking and other security features were implemented to bolster certificate integrity.
• Software Security: The software itself was fortified with varying levels of authorization to ensure controlled access based on roles and responsibilities. This multi-tiered security approach provided robust data protection.
• Staff Training: A crucial element of project success was the comprehensive training provided to staff. Equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, staff could effectively manage the digital certification system.
• Implementation and Publication: Following rigorous development and testing phases, the software was successfully implemented on the server and published, making it accessible to all stakeholders.
• Project Handover: The project concluded with a thorough handover process. We provided all essential materials, including photographs, certificate source designs, software source code, and a comprehensive guide on how to manage, operate, and maintain both the software and certificates.
This project serves as a testament to our versatile capabilities in addressing diverse IT and software initiatives. From website projects to cross-platform mobile apps and now a robust desktop computer software, we have consistently demonstrated our proficiency in delivering high-quality solutions.
